d's been walking now for almost a month. i have spent a great deal of time trying to get a decent video of her taking these precious first steps, but with marginal success. you see, d's biggest priority is keeping up with big sister. today, e was distracted in her room and d was toddling down the hallway. i grabbed the camera quickly, but as soon as i started to get some footage, d heard her sister behind door number 1. and while, this girl just knows that dropping to her knees is the fastest way to keep up. and so down she went in search of her favorite family member.

I was going to ask you today where you've been in blogland...but got sidetracked in the conversation...and then forgot. Love the footage and I can't believe she is walking!!!
Tonight when I was getting Faith ready for bed, she had her pretend cell phone up to her ear. I asked her who she was talking to and she said, "Ellie...I'm going to see Ellie." Maybe she knows something I don't. It made me pause a moment to think that the cousins haven't seen each other in soooo long and maybe now...Ellie wouldn't think she was such a nusiance (no longer a baby) and they would have so much fun together having tea parties. (sigh) :) Maybe someday soon....love you and glad to see you're back.

Delaney is too cute and such a ham...wonder where she gets that from?? Miss you all lots and can't wait to see you at Thanksgiving.
